Parks & Trails

go on, get out there

With so many parks so close to home, you feel as if you have a huge backyard that you don’t have to mow.

Brown Family Park

Brown Family Park showcases just how fun and all-around-fabulous a park can be. In fact, the park opened with a concert by the Ben Miller Band, which marked the first time a Piccolo Spoleto event was hosted in Summerville. And it’s still rocking, with concerts and shows. Of course, its unique design and plantings also make it a great place to enjoy a quiet Lowcountry day.

Great Lawn

Situated adjacent to the Greeting House, the Great Lawn is just that. A really, really great lawn. With a vast amount of open space to run, play, relax, picnic… or all of the above.

Neighborhood Parks

Some call them parks we call them hidden (and not-so-hidden) treasures. There’s Elbow Park, with its pick-up bocce games; Tall Gee Woods, a secret pocket park with lanky pine trees and areas for imaginative play; and Long Meadow Park with a hammock garden. If you’re looking for a distinct outdoor experience, we think you’ll be very pleased with what you find.
