Midtown Middle School Opens Its Doors
The start of a new school year always brings fresh notebooks, new routines and plenty of excitement. This year, it also brings a milestone for Nexton with the opening of Midtown Middle School.
The new campus gives many Nexton families something they'll appreciate every school day: a shorter commute. With both Nexton Elementary School and Midtown Middle School located within the community, more students have the opportunity to walk, bike or enjoy a quick trip to class, making mornings a little easier and afternoons a little more relaxed.
Before students filled the hallways, Nexton welcomed the faculty for a special teacher appreciation event on July 27. It was a chance to celebrate the dedicated educators who will help launch the school's very first year and invest in the success of every student who walks through its doors.
Strong schools have always been an important part of what makes a community thrive. They're where friendships begin, confidence grows and future leaders discover their passions. We're thrilled to see Midtown Middle School become part of that story.
To the teachers, staff and administrators, thank you for the work you do every day. And to the students beginning this exciting new adventure, we wish you an incredible year of learning, growth and unforgettable memories.
