A taste of autumn: Fall dining at Nexton in Summerville, SC
There’s a certain point in the year when coffee calls for a little cinnamon, dinner calls for something a little heartier and “just one more course” suddenly sounds like an excellent idea.
Fall has arrived at Nexton. Or, at least, it has arrived on the menus.
From cookie butter lattes and pumpkin everything to soul-nourishing soups, hearty pastas and cocktails with a little cinnamon smoke, Nexton restaurants are serving up plenty of reasons to lean into the season.
So grab a sweater for those elusive 68-degree Summerville mornings and bring your appetite. Here’s what tastes like fall around Nexton.
First things first: coffee
At Summit Coffee Nexton, fall comes with an extra shot of espresso.
The Fall 2026 menu includes a Pumpkin Pie Latte topped with pumpkin spice cold foam when iced or whipped cream when hot, plus a Pumpkin Chai Latte dusted with cinnamon. But the one calling our name? The Cookie Butter Latte, finished with Biscoff cookie pieces and cookie butter cold foam or whipped cream.
In other words, you could eat a cookie for breakfast. Or you could drink one. We support both choices.
Just down the road, Blue Café + Wellness Market is giving fall a wellness-minded spin. Sip a Pumpkin Chai Spiced Protein Smoothie, Pumpkin Spiced Loaded Latte or Candy Apple Crisp Matcha. Hungry? There are Pumpkin Protein Bites, a Pecan Apple Crunch Yogurt Bowl and a Honey Glazed Harvest Bowl piled with roasted sweet potato, goat cheese, dried cranberries, green onions and hot honey.
Basically, autumn understood the assignment.
Soup season has entered the chat
We know. Calling it “soup weather” in Summerville can be optimistic. But when the craving hits, Nexton is ready.
At Halls Chophouse Nexton, a cup or bowl of classic She-Crab Soup brings all the Lowcountry comfort, with lump crabmeat, sherry, cream and chives. Ready to fully commit to cozy? There’s also Chophouse Onion Soup, lobster and smoked bacon mac ’n cheese and wild mushroom risotto.
Over at Page’s Okra Grill Nexton, Crab Bacon Chowder offers another cool-weather-worthy bowl, combining blue crab, roasted sweet corn and smoked bacon in one creamy helping.
Who needs an actual temperature drop to declare it soup season?
Bring on the comfort food
Some foods just taste better when the days get shorter.
At LPC Kitchen, that means pasta. Lots of it.
There’s Calabrian Vodka Rigatoni in a sweet and spicy vodka cream sauce, Mom’s Bolognese with beef and pork, Short Rib Pasta with mushrooms and a creamy sauce, and Chicken Parm Rigatoni with mozzarella, vodka cream sauce, pesto and Parmesan.
And because we would never suggest stopping before dessert, LPC’s Cinnamon Dough Knots are deep-fried, tossed in cinnamon sugar and served with sweet frosting.
That feels like fall math to us.
Something to sip
When the sun starts setting a little earlier, a fall cocktail feels especially appropriate.
Dog & Duck is mixing up seasonal cocktails featuring some of fall’s greatest hits: apple, cinnamon, caramel and bourbon. Try the Harvest Mule, Southern Bonfire, Cidra-Rita or Washington’s Orders. Or go all in with the Smoked Cinnamon Old Fashioned, finished with aromatic cinnamon smoke.
For an evening that practically comes pre-cozied, slip into Neat & Noble Bourbon Bar for bourbon and handcrafted cocktails in its warm, lounge-like setting.
Then there’s Somm Wine Bar, where settling in with a glass of wine, cheese and charcuterie feels especially right this time of year. Save room for the Cookie Butter S’more, made with graham cookie, chocolate glaze and fudge sauce.

Consider this your sign to get cozy
Start the morning with something pumpkin-spiced. Meet a friend for a harvest bowl at lunch. Warm up with she-crab soup. Order the pasta for dinner. Linger over a glass of wine. Split dessert.

Because while fall in Summerville may occasionally require a little imagination (hello, 80-degree October afternoon), the flavors of the season have most definitely arrived.
