Berkeley County School Board names new school Nexton Elementary

The first new school that will be built as a result of Berkeley County's $198 million building campaign will be called Nexton Elementary School.

The Berkeley County School Board voted 7-1, with Chairman Doug Cooper absent, to name the school for the 4,500-acre MeadWestvaco neighborhood where it will be built.
