National Night Out at Nexton: Food, Fun, and Community Spirit

At Nexton, community is more than just a buzzword. It’s the heart of everything we do. From welcoming front porches to miles of trails connecting friendly neighbors, it’s a place where people come together. And on Monday, August 5, we’re doing just that at National Night Out, from 6 to 8 PM on the Midtown Clubhouse lawn.

This nationwide event is all about strengthening relationships between first responders and the communities they serve. It’s a celebration of partnership, safety, and good old-fashioned neighborly fun. This year’s event at Nexton is shaping up to be one for the memory books.

What’s in store:

  • Live music from Lowcountry favorite Lauren Hall

  • Food trucks including Lost Boys and Snow Biz

  • Balloon and tattoo artists for the kiddos

  • A visit from the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office

  • Appearance from the local fire department

  • Build-your-own piggy bank craft from event sponsor CPM Federal Credit Union

  • And of course, games and space to dance barefoot with neighbors

We’re also collecting school supplies to help stock the Teacher Supply Closet, a great way to give back while having fun.

National Night Out is more than just a party. It’s a chance to connect with neighbors, thank our local first responders, and show our support for the people who help keep Nexton safe and thriving. Whether you're new to the neighborhood or a long-time resident, this is one evening you won’t want to miss. So grab your family, bring a blanket or chair, and come enjoy an evening full of connection, music, and community pride.

We’ll see you there.
